Orchestral Engineer Michael Bishop On My Latest Inner Circle Podcast

Michael BishopMichael Bishop has been recording orchestras all over the world for a long time, first as chief engineer for the famed Telarc label, and now with his own Five Four Productions. Along the way he’s won 10 Grammy’s as well as a slew of other awards for his excellence.

Michael’s my guest on this week’s podcast and among the things we discuss is his approach to miking an orchestra, the gear he uses, and his approach to mixing as well. It’s a great interview, especially if you don’t have any experience in that realm of audio!

On the intro I’ll look at how Whiz Khalifa passed Psy for the most watched video ever, and Gibson adding to its brands with the acquisition of Onkyo.
