Marketing, Content and Technology Consultant Frank Wells On My Latest Inner Circle Podcast

Frank WellsFrank Wells started his career in the music business as head of technical services at the famed Masterfonics studio complex in Nashville, but then made a left turn when he become editor first of Audio Media Magazine, and then later Pro Sound News.

I talked to Frank about some of the things that go on behind-the-scenes of a magazine editor that most readers aren’t aware of on the current edition of my Inner Circle Podcast.

Frank is currently a marketing, content and technology consultant so he’s able to see the big picture of the audio business as few can, so we talked about the latest developments there, as well as the latest trends in audio gear.

On the intro I’ll talk about the suppressed secret EU study on piracy that was finally leaked (it’s not the result that you might expect), as well as Harman’s plans to lay off 650 employees from its pro audio divisions, which include AKG, AMX, BSS, Crown, dbx, DigiTech, JBL Professional, IDX, Lexicon, Martin Audio, Soundcraft, and Studer, among others.

You can listen to it at bobbyoinnercircle.com, or via iTunesStitcher, Mixcloud or Google Play.
