Inner Circle Episode #200 – The 4th Year Anniversary Show With Engineer Dennis Moody

Dennis MoodyI want to start out by saying, “Thank you kindly!”

This episode (#200) marks 4 years of the Inner Circle Podcast, and it never would have gotten this far if not for your support.

Actually, I never would have even considered doing my own podcast (since I was and still am a panel member on the AudioNowcast podcast) if it wasn’t for listener Steve Cheribino, who not only encouraged me to do this, but also even did the post production on the first 100 episodes or so (thanks, Steve!).

That said, enough of you like this to make me want to keep doing it, so here we go to year 4. I have some great guests coming up this year that I know you’ll enjoy.

Episode #200 features my old friend and collaborator Dennis Moody, who was the very first guest on on this podcast. Since then I’ve had him on the anniversary program every year to catch us up on what he’s seen about the music business in his travels across the world.

If you’ve listened to previous podcasts then you know that Dennis is one of the few engineers that can easily slide from mixing a live concert in front of 20,000 people to engineering the recording for drumming stars like Steve Gadd, Dave Weckl or Michael White. Awesome engineer, awesome guy, and always an awesome guest.

On the intro I’ll look at why China just banned hip-hop from its mainstream media, and the news that Gibson is in financial hot water again on several fronts (really, I’m not picking on the company, it’s just that there’s always so much going on that it’s hard to turn away).

Enjoy the show!
