Film Composer Chris Boardman, Virtual Radio, And Instrument Insurance On My Latest Inner Circle Podcast

My guest this week is television and film composer Chris Boardman, who was one of my first guests when I started this podcast 4 years ago. He was originally on episode #11.

Acknowledged for his work in film, TV, records and academia, Chris is a six time Emmy Award winner with 13 Emmy Nominations, and has been nominated for an Oscar.

Chris has been teaching the graduate film composition program at the University of Miami for the last 6 years where he was twice been nominated by The University of Miami Graduate School for their “Mentor of the Year Award.”

In the interview we talked about the evolution of the film scoring business, how college education is about to change big-time, and his new master’s level film scoring course.

On the intro I’ll also look at how “virtual radio” is about to change what you listen to in more ways than one, and the ins and outs of instrument/audio gear insurance.
