Post Mixer/Source Elements Co-Founder Robert Marshall On My Latest Inner Circle Podcast

My guest on the podcast today is Robert Marshall, who is sound designer, mixer and partner of Chicago audio post house SUM1. Robert has spent the last 15 years doing sound design, mixes and ADR for film, television and radio, including several Superbowl spots.

He’s also a founding partner of Source Elements, a company that provides a number of excellent IP-based replacements for the ISDN services that have long been used by the voice-over industry for long-distance recording.

In the interview we talked about getting into post-production from music, the idea behind Source Elements and the different products offered, post production in the Chicago commercial scene, the ideal amount of compression on a voice over, and much more.

On the intro I’ll provide a wrap-up of Winter NAMM, including some insights that you might not find anywhere else.
