Music Industry Power Shifting, China Trade Wars, And Engineer Steve Remote On My Latest Inner Circle Podcast

Steve Remote on Bobby Owsinski's Production BlogRemote recording is an audio discipline that’s distinctly different from many others and something my guest today knows so much about. Steve Remote is founder and chief engineer of Aura Sonic, a mobile and location production company out of New York.

Steve’s been working in remote recording almost his entire professional life, and Aura Sonic has grown to feature 3 mobile audio recording trucks and an extensive list of rental gear and services.

During his career Steve has worked on a who’s who list of the music world, which includes 17 Grammy nominated albums in which 3 that have won.

We had a good discussion about the differences between studio and live recording, the importance of good power, and the gear that Steve favors, among many other things.

On the intro I’ll look at how Spotify’s direct deals with artists could change the balance of power in the music industry, and what will happen to music and audio gear from China if a trade way happens.
