Sweetwater’s Mitch Gallagher, Spotify Video War, And Neumann Logo Badge Color On My Latest Podcast
My guest this week on Episode #230 of my Inner Circle Podcast is Sweetwater’s editorial director Mitch Gallagher, who started his career as a guitarist/vocalist with various rock and country bands while earning a degree in music from Moorhead State University and studying with various classical guitar masters.
After making his living as a touring musician, he made a left turn into the music magazine business first as the technical editor for Keyboard Magazine, then as editor-in-chief for EQ Magazine.
Along the way Mitch has published thousands of articles for a wide variety of industry magazines as well as 8 books, but you may know him today for his excellent work on Sweetwater’s 3 weekly video shows – Sweetwater Minute, Guitars & Gear, and The iOS Update.
During the interview we spoke about what it’s like to have access to the latest and greatest music and audio products, the latest trends in gear, and the secret advice he received that enabled him to finally release his EP Foundation.
On the intro I’ll look at the war over Spotify videos, and exactly what the color of those logo badges on Neumann microphones mean.
